Abstract (EN)

Museums have been instrumental in conveying the social, cultural, political, and economic values of the societies throughout history. Therefore, museums hold great importance for the history of humanity, as well as architectural history. There are numerous types of museums in various parts of the world, and this number is increasing day by day. In this study, research has been conducted on the influence of materials used in museum architecture, specifically focusing on four different archaeological museums in Turkey. These museums are the Adana Archaeology Museum, Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Antakya Archaeology Museum, and Malatya Archaeology Museum. Floor plans, design preferences, and the materials used in the construction have been examined and analyzed. The suitability of the materials has been measured according to global and Turkish regulations. As a result of the examinations, the compliance of museums with regulations has been determined, and recommendations for solutions have been provided.
