Architectural approaches to the conservation and presentation ofarchaeological areas: A contemporary building's dialogue withthe past

Within the scope of the thesis, examples from the country and abroad that connect with the archaeological sites were found and examined. Studies examining the relationship between historical sites and architecture have been researched. National and international preservation and exhibition rules were examined. As a result of the researches, the archaeological sites and the structures designed in line with the needs program were examined by forming 4 different groups. The communication/dialogue established between the architectural annex and the historical site is explained in detail in 3 separate classes, including the benefits it provides to the archaeological site, its effect on the city silhouette, and its relationship with the user. Finally, the contextual strategies of the designs of new architectural structures were examined in line with the findings examined in the material and method section.
