Abstract (EN)
The study inspects relations between success of Axel and Salchow jumps in figure skating and their physical parameters. To this end, jump data of 7 participants were collected using Xsens Awinda inertial measurement system. Collected data were analyzed via a program developed specifically for this research by the researcher using Python programming language. Alongside parameters compiled by utilizing the literature; state of success calculated using our definition of success, number of revolutions calculated using hip rotation angle, maximum center of mass (CoM) height, CoM horizontal displacement, shoulder direction, moment of fastest rotation, tilt angle at moment of fastest rotation, and tilt angle at landing, which were developed specific for this study, were discussed. Flight time, average rotational speed, takeoff angle, grouping speed coefficient, and grouping density coefficient were observed to be compatible with literature. In contrast, horizontal displacement of CoM was incompatible.
