Abstract (EN)

In this study, usage of waste ceramic powders as cement additive material is investigated. Flow, strength, acid resistance values are investigated in cement mortar specimens prepared with ceramic powders by different ratios. Ceramic powders are used with 5%, 10% and 15% by cement weight. Fresh and hardened cement mortar properties were investigated and evaluated. Flow experiments were performed to obtain its results on fresh state properties. Relationship between additive amount and workability were obtained. To obtain the properties of cement mortars in hardened state, cubical and prismatic samples were mold. Some experiments were performed to define the strength and durability properties, at ages 1,2,7 and 28. Prepared prismatic samples were examined under bending and compression after bending tests, and the samples with best properties were determined. After obtaining strength values, acid resistance test was performed to obtain durability characteristics. After 28 days, cubic samples were weighted and then they were put into the 3,5% HCl solution for 7 days. After 7 days, samples were weighted again. According to the results of this experiment, weight losses were obtained. Due to the results of these studies, fresh and hardened states properties of cement mortars were improved by determining optimum dosage of ceramic powder additives.
