Abstract (EN)

Materials used in daily life can be classified according to their chemical structures or areas where they are generally used. It is known that ceramics, marble, glass, metal constructions which show especially inorganic structure in these materials show undesirable properties (corrosion, abrasion, scratching, dissolution, transformation into a porous structure) with various factors (acids, bases, gases, scratches). For this reason, it may be possible to protect these surfaces by using the help of structures that can be controlled at the molecular level which also named as flexible ceramics. Especially aesthetic needs should be corresponded and given special care since industrial applications require this intensive interest. For providing surface protection and molecular control, the development of a nanohybrid coating that can be applied by spray method for using on the marble surfaces is the main objective of this project. This coating is specifically designed to meet the requirements for protection from acids and bases. Mixtures of silicon alkoxides with metal alkoxides in different proportions prepared and obtained products applied to different marble surfaces by spray method. These marble coatings, which are thermally settled, then tested to obtain hardness, abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, corrosion, optical properties and chemical compositions XRD, FT IR, SEM, XPS and TGA methods. Thus, an industrial coating material obtained which can be controlled at the molecular level with minor chemical modifications. Keywords: Sol-gel chemistry, hybrid surface coatings, nanoparticles, asit-base resistance, inorganic-organic materials.
