Abstract (EN)

In this study, flower parts of Taraxacum hellenicum and Crepis micrantha plants were collected from Osmaniye province. After the collected samples were dried and ground, natural dyestuffs were obtained. Woolen sample fabrics were dyed with the obtained dyestuffs in the IR sample dyeing machine. Different mordants (iron, copper, and aluminum sulfate) and different mordanting techniques (pre, meta and post) were used in dyeing. In dyeing experiments similar colors were obtained from both plants. Color analysis of the dyed samples in the spectrophotometer and fastness tests were carried out to determine the color resistance of dyed fabrics to rubbing and washing. Within the scope of the study, the effect of mordant type and mordanting technique on color and fastness values was tried to be determined. As a result of dyeing, yellow, green and brown tones were obtained in general. As a result of dyeing, it was determined that the highest K/S and lowest L* values were obtained as a result of dyeing using iron sulfate mordant, and darker color tones were achieved. According to the results of the friction fastness of the naturally dyed sample fabrics, it was determined that the use of mordant decreased the dry and wet friction fastness values.
