Abstract (EN)

Anatolia where was been the center of attention of different tribes since the oldest times because of its underground and aboveground richness, at the Assyrian Trade Colonies Period had been the center of affinity for Assyrian traders. To implement their trade business, Assyrian traders in early BC 2000s, built trade centers in Anatolia named karum and wabartum. Trade network that Assyrian traders developed between Anatolia and Mesopotamia has brought transportation and traveling business in a systematic way. Traders used various kinds of routes to ease the traveling .As a result of trade business handled between Anatolia and Mesopotamia and the kinds of intercourses between the Assyrian traders and Anatolia inhabitants, the impotance of messengers who used to carry messages between Anatolia and Mesopotamia, have been great. On the first part of our two parted thesis, traveling and transportation businesses done in Anatolia and Mesopotamia have been investigated. On the second part, the communication actions of this period were investigated. Clay tabloids which communication devices and messengers were talked about, communication actions were classified as economical administrative, juridical and family communications.
