Implementation and performance evaluation of swarm intelligence based optimization methods for assignment problem

The task assignment is one of the core steps to effectively exploit the capabilities of computing system. In addition, an effective task assignment provides successful task management. So that, this reduces the cost of resources from the biggest cost losses. In this study, swarm intelligence algorithms which are used in the solution of this problem are used. It has been compared the performance of the solution of bee and particle colony optimization algorithms on assignment problem. Data sets of various size and difficulties are selected and optimized with bee and particle colony. As a result, it is interpreted which optimization method works better according to data set.
