A comparative examination of tar performance and repertoire in TRT and Ministry of Culture institutions

In this study, it was focused on evaluating the usage process, performance and features of the tar instrument in the THM choirs of the Ministry of Culture and TRT, which has become a school for folk music performance in Turkey, has adopted traditional forms of performance as a principle and has been working in this direction for many years , as well as determining its similarities and differences. In addition to the findings obtained with this understanding, it is aimed to perform execution analyses of 6 works determined from various publications and to arrange the analyzed works for one semester teaching at Ege University DTMK. In the fourth chapter, the existence of the instrument in the historical process, its change and development, as well as the kinds of instruments that are considered similar, even though they contain different fields and qualities, are discussed. Later, Esadoğlu and Vekilov's work on the instrument and its use in Azerbaijani music were mentioned, and finally, his arrival in Turkey, his first use, structure and characteristics on the Istanbul radio were mentioned. In the fifth section, the establishment, working principles and the process of using the Tar instrument in the ensembles of the Ministry of Culture State THM Choirs, which are planned in accordance with the music policies of the Republic period in Turkey and the Turkish THM ensembles, which are formed with a new understanding, are discussed. In the last section, data on tar performance and repertoire in TRT and Ministry of Culture THM choirs were transferred separately and new findings were determined and evaluated by comparing similarities and differences. After that, 6 works selected from various publications, 3 of which belong to TRT and 3 of which belong to the Ministry of Culture THM choirs, were analysed by taking notes and arranged for one semester teaching at Ege University DTMK.
