Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the benefits of privatization of İSKİ`s directorates works. In this thesis, benefits of outsourcing some services by using subcontractors are evaluated. In the first chapter, the aim and scope of the study is mentioned. In the second chapter, privatization is explained. Moreover, aim and methods of privatization are presented. Furthermore, history and evolution of privatization on the worlds is discussed by comparing the results among different countries. In the third chapter privatization in Turkiye is dedicated as a whole. Privatizations which took place in municipalities are investigated. In the fourth chapter generally information about water systems is introduced. In the fifth chapter privatization of İSKİ`s directorates works is examined. In the sixth chapter the aim and history of İSKİ are mentioned. In the same chapter the aim and tools in privatizations in İSKİ is examined. Comparison of 1998-99 and 2004-05 periods in terms of outsourcing results is mentioned. In the seventh chapter that is last chapter, the benefits and results of using subcontractors by means of cost efficiency, time efficiency as well as quality.
