Abstract (EN)

When wastewater plants are being designed, the population and the volume of the region are calculated. The volume of the refinery pools, Which are in the plant, are designed according to the calculated volume of the waste water flow.In this study, the construction processes of the wastewater plants are examined in dealing with the ground traits of Manisa. Forces like soil, water, surcharge, and earthquake, which affect the structure of the foundation and side walls of pools bearing great volume, constitue the structure of the wastewater plants. Various combinations of the obtained figures, which are applied tos ide walls and the structure of the foundations, are analyzed by means of the finite element method, SAP 2000 computer programme.Five seperate combinations which are made up of static and dynamic forces such as water, soil, surcharge, self weight and earthquake are defined. Combinations are applied to each pool seperately and their analyses are conducted. The stretching disperse of the pools under each combination load are illustrated and compared with diagrams and the locations where critical effect exist are determined. At the end of the analysis conducted with the computer program, the most critical combination that effects the structure is determined. From the report analysis, by taking the maximum moment into consideration fors ide walls, foundation structure, reinforced concrete platform, the amount of the barand bar intervals are detrmined according to the earthquake regulations. For each structure, ground stretching control and split investigation are seperately carried out.Key Words: Waste water refinery plants, Static and dynamic analyses, Pool design and analysis, Bar calculation, Finite element method.
