Abstract (EN)

Along with the increase in the world population, efforts to reduce the amount of resources we have started to run out and damage to the environment during production / consumption have brought new discoveries and technological studies together. Today, when the industrial revolutions have been overtaken quickly, there has been a need for better and more comfortable transport means in terms of energy efficiency, emission reduction and fuel economy. Hybrid vehicles, which are considered as one of the top of innovative studies and subject to many academic studies, which bringing increasingly different researches with different segments and diversity. In this study, the performance of a hybrid electric vehicle modelled by the AVL simulation program and effects of selected electric motors for different powers were examined. The performance effects of different types of electric motors to increase the performance of hybrid vehicles are compared between each other. It was used to analyze the performance of hybrid motors with 3 different electric motors in modelling with AVL-Cruise simulation program. In design, for the same model vehicle; three different electric motors of 15, 20, 25 kW and suitable generators were added. Simulation results and mathematical models are given graphically. Parameters such as engine torque, power, fuel consumption, and battery power, total generated and consumed electric energy are explained and compared with each other. In the study, FTP- 75 (Federal Test Procedure) and NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) driving cycles were used and compared with each other. As a result; under these study conditions and parameters; the model hybrid electric vehicle with an electric motor of 20 kW has produced a more efficient and energetic performance indicator schedule than the others.
