The European Union funds and financial resources that Turkey can use

One of the main contraversial issues in economics is whether financial aidsgiven to Turkey by the European Union (EU) is adequate and in what degree Turkeycan benefit from these aids.As a result of the survey concerning the issue, it is indicated that in a time periodfrom Ankara Treaty (1963) until now, the structure and the ways of using the aids givenby the EU have been shifted in the parallellism with the relationship betwen parties. Itis also higlighted that in comparasion with the aids given to other countries, theamaount of the EU aids granted to Turkey is not equal and adequate. By moving fromthis conclusion, in this study, the EU aids given to Turkey and to what extent Turkeyhas been benefited from these aids are examined from a historical perspective. In whatdegree Turkey can use these financial aids and what the ongoing organizationalstructure in Turkey is about the using of financial aids are also discussed.Key words: The European Union, The European Union Funds, financial structure,small and medium size enterprise (SME), project.
