Abstract (EN)

The part-time contracts are large place in European Union Employment Law practice and depending on the legal arrangements are made to it. In this study, the arrangement, implementation and practice problems with solutions of part-time work in European Union Employment Law was investigated. In line with this study, first the concept of part-time employment contracts were examinated in terms of elements and types of part-time contracts, then, the discrimination and wages and other labor rights were examinated in terms of part-time employment contracts. In this part, the regulation of part-time employment contracts in Turkish employment law also been included. In second section, the concept of part-time employment contracts were examinated in terms of elements and types of part-time contracts in European Union Employment Law, in terms of the European Union legislation and European Union Justice Court decisions. In the end of the study, were examinated the part-time employee status in European Union and its member countries, which employees work part-time as they choose what rate and for what reason, and as a challenge to our practice against the problem of discrimination against part-time employees.Key Words1.Part-time work2.European Union Law3.Discrimination4.European Union Directives5.Employment Contracts
