Abstract (EN)

Anatolia has always had rich resources in terms of clothing since the first days of history, also carried a rich variety of cultural identity with immigration from all of its surroundings and presented original products in these terms. Clothing products have transformed into a visual language of communication rather than barely clothing materials with their rich cultural heritage.Türkoğlu indicated that three factors are important in the emergence of clothing, analyzed it in biological, physiological and psychological aspects, however, also argued that whether which one of them is important can only be explained by the climate, economic conditions and social events that the people experience.Turkey has a historical accumulation which it has right to be proud of, as a result of the lifestyle created by its geographical position and the accumulation of past generations. This accumulation also reflects itself in clothing culture.Cultural centers which have developed with the increasing individual and social awareness in conveying the material cultural products in our country to following generations have recently become gradually widespread. It is required that the pieces exhibited in cultural centers are recorded systematically and inventory works should be implemented in order to convey these works of arts to the following generations perfectly.204 female and male attires which are in Ayaş Cultural Center, however have not been recorded to inventory have been selected as the study subject. The attires were grouped in accordance with the Folk Culture Library and Grouping Guide prepared by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture General Directorate of Research and Development of Folk Cultures, each of them were pictured, their technical drawings were made and inventory numbers were given by creating inventory forms. Also, each clothing was analyzed in terms of fabric, ornaments and sewing techniques and the obtained data were entered as explanations in the related section in the inventory form.According to the results of the research, the importance of inventory records of the attires in Ayaş Cultural Center was explained and the importance of inventory records of the objects which need to be perfectly carried to the coming generations was stressed. It is recommended that inventory works become widespread and more systematized.
