Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out in 2019 to determine the effects of different plant to plant spacing and nitrogen doses on yield and quality factors of sunflower under arid conditions in Bursa and Edirne regions. Field experiments were planned according to a randomized split plot design with four replications. Three different plant to plant spacings (0.15, 0.30 and 0.45 m) were main plots and five different nitrogen doses (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 kg N/da) subplots. The oil sunflower cultivar, LG 5485 were used as plant material. In the experiments, the row spacings were 0.60 m. According to the results of the research, plant height and oil content increased with decreasing plant to plant spacing, while 1000 seed weight, head diameter, seed yield, oleic acid content and oil yield increased with increasing plant to plant spacing and nitrogen doses in Bursa conditions. The highest seed and oil yield was achieved with a nitrogen dose of 5 kg N da-1 at plat to plant spacing of 0.30 m. Increasing plant to plant spacing and nitrogen doses increased characteristics such as 1000 seed weight, head diameter and grain yield, while decreased oil yield in Edirne conditions . In this location, high seed yield and oil content were achieved with a dose of 10 kg N da-1 at a plant to plant spacing of 0.15 m.
