Equivalent cost analysis in corn silage mechanization systems used in the Aydin region

Goal: In this study, some types of machinery used in maize silage harvest and maize harvesting mechanization systems for silage were investigated in terms of management. The study was carried out in Aydın Koçarlı plain, where silage corn is produced and corn silage is made in the Aegean region. In the study, the mechanization systems that can be used in the harvest of corn plants grown as the second crop after poaceae were investigated. Material and Method: There are mechanization systems with different working widths (two-row, eight-row, etc.) used in the silage maize harvest. The business success, fuel consumption, oil consumption, maintenance and repair costs of the machines in the mechanization systems have been revealed. Cost analysis for each mechanization system has been made and the most economical working areas have been determined. The cost studies made have been compared with the data of the contractor firm. During the operation of the maize silage harvester, the effective working time of the harvester in the field and how long it takes to fill the truck and trailer were taken into consideration by the measurements made in the field. Results: For the cost analysis of tool-machines, data calculations of processes and mechanization systems were made based on theoretical field capacity h / ha and TL / ha values. Therefore, it is aimed to create a database by revealing the cost calculations for the maize silage mechanization system. Key Words: Corn, Silage, Harvest, Mechanization Systems, Efficiency Elements
