School management in Azerbaijan education system

In this study, we tried to determine the opinions of school principals in Azerbaijan regarding the training and appointment processes of school administrators. In the first part of the study, the subject is presented as a global problem. The situation, purpose, practical importance and limitations of the problem are explained and defense claims are reflected. II. The chapter deals with the issues of management of general educational institutions in stages, covering the path followed by the Azerbaijani education system based on the historical roots of the National Republic, the USSR and the modern era. Information is given about the pre-service and in-service training of school principals, appointment rules, duties and functions, powers and responsibilities, and personal rights, and normative and legal documents regarding education are taken as basis on these issues. Basic qualitative research design was used in the study. There is talk about the appointment of directors of general education schools founded by the Republic of Turkey in Azerbaijan and in Turkey. The study group of the research consists of school principals working in public schools in the central districts of Baku province in the 2022-2023 academic year. 11 school principals and 22 deputy principals working in general schools constitute the study group of the research. The interview form was copied and distributed according to the number of school principals working in the schools. As a result, 33 interview forms were evaluated. The notes taken as a result of the interviews conducted in the analysis of the data were converted into written texts on the computer.
