Story in the children's literature of Azerbaijan of the period of independence (Representatives-examination-text)

Azerbaijani children's literature, which was formed in the late 19th century and early 20th century and continues its existence until today, constitutes an important branch of Azerbaijani literature. Azerbaijani children's literature, classified and divided into periods by many researchers and scientists, generally consists of three main periods: Education, Soviet and Independence. The Independence period, which constitutes the last period of Azerbaijani children's literature, covers the period from 1991 to the present day. Apart from these periods, Azerbaijani children's literature has a rich literary culture and tradition with the literary samples and oral traditions written by classical period poets and writers for children. Azerbaijani children's literature, which has a rich tradition in terms of personality, period, genre and work, includes many literary genres, including oral and contemporary. One of the contemporary literary genres in Azerbaijani children's literature is the children's story. In the study, genre analysis was made on the story genre of Azerbaijani children's literature during the Independence Period, using the text-centered structural method, in the context of the internal structure elements of the principle of suitability for children (topic, heroes, language and expression, message). In addition, the formation, historical development and representatives of Azerbaijani children's literature; information is also given about the formation, historical course and important representatives of the story genre, which is a contemporary literary genre. The study, which consists of an introduction and four main chapters, also includes the story texts that were examined during the research process. In this context, the story genre in Azerbaijani children's literature during the Independence Period was examined and the differences and changes in the themes, subjects, messages, structure, language and expression that occurred in the stories during this period were scientifically revealed. Thus, the change in the story genre was examined thematically and structurally.
