Abstract (EN)

In this study, copper(II) nickel(II) and zinc(II) ions as metal ions, L-glutamine (L-gln) as an anionic ligand and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) as neutral ligands which have a planar structure were choosen. In the study firstly; the equilibrium reactions of binary (MA, MB) and mixed ligand (MAB) complexes formed with phen and dmphen (A), L-gln (B) of copper (II) nickel(II) and zinc(II) ions were examined at 25°C and in 0,1 M ionic medium. The protonation constants of the ligands and the stability constants of the complexes were calculated with BEST computer program using potentiometric titration data. Therefore, the SPE computer program was used to determine the distrubition of the species formed in solution. Secondly; the mixed ligand complexes formed with of copper(II) ion of the selected ligands were synthesized and the structures of the synthesized complexes were elucidated by elemental analysis, electronic absorption spectroscopy, IR, ESI-MS and single crystal X-ray diffraction method. Finally, the interactions with CT-DNA of the synthesized complexes and anticancer activities were investigated. The binding properties with CT-DNA of the complexes were investigated by electronic absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy techniques. Anticancer activities of synthesized complexes; lung cancer (A549), breast cancer (MCF-7) and colon cancer (Caco-2) cell lines and a healthy human bronchial cell line were determined by XTT test and compared with cis-platinum.
