Abstract (EN)

Abu'l-Hasan 'Ali b. Husayn al-Bāqūlī (d. 542/1147), one of the later scholars of the Basra school, was one of the leading Arabic language, Qiraat, tafsīr and fiqh scholars of his time. One of the works of al-Bāqūlī, who wrote various works on Arabic language and the Qur'ān, is his work entitled Jawāhir al-Qur'ān wa netāiju's-san'a. The work in question, which has a rich content in terms of rhetoric, exposition, nahw and qiraat sciences, has an important place in the field of Arabic language. In this work, while analysing the verses philologically, al-Bāqūlī used the Qurʾān, different types of qiraʿāt, poetry, Arabic theology and hadiths to support his views. In addition, he made use of many sources written in the fields of grammar, lexicon, qiraat, literature, I'rāb al-Qur'an, Me'ân al-Qur'an and tafsir. In Jawāhir al-Qur'ān, the subjects related to the science of grammar are included more than other sciences. For this reason, in this study, "nouns" and "prepositions" that al-Bāqūlī deals with among the subjects of grammar are examined philologically. Al-Bāqūlī touched upon many controversial issues related to these subjects in his i'rāb of the verses. In these discussions, al-Bāqūlī, who did not adhere to any one school to the degree of fanaticism, generally adopted the views of the Basra school, but he preferred the views of the Kufa school on some issues. Sometimes he found some weak views that the imams of these two schools did not adopt preferable.
