Abstract (EN)

Research in avian blood parasites has seen a remarkable increase since the introduction of polymerase chain reaction-based methods for parasite identification. The objectives were to determine the lineage diversity of parasites occuring across the study. Songbirds are caught in three different altitudinally area, thirty individuals of the first altitude area (Low altitude; ≈ 400 m), thirty-two individuals from the second altitude area (Midle altitude; ≈ 800 m) and thirty-one individuals from the third altitude area (High altitude; ≈ 1600 m). High levels of haemosporidians (Haemoproteus sp. and Plasmodium sp.) prevalence (88-96%) were found across all of the study populations with no significant altitude effect. Leucocytozoon strains have negative correlation with heigh. Haemosporidians parasites more at high altitude increasing (Low altitude= 63,33%, Midle altitude= 70,97%, High altitude= 96,77%) (p< 0,05). The comparison of the results of the sequence with the Genbank database and the Malavi database was stuck. The results obtained in the study haplotypes were identified for the first time in the world of science 42.19%.
