Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to study the kinds of natural trees and the bushes in the gully and their relationship with the evolution of the gully on the gypseous and salty zone of Çankırı - Ballıca Stream Basin, it is supposed to obtain the results for mechanical and biological precautions which can be used at the fight against erosion in the gullies having similar ecological circumstances. The research has been implemented on 18 pieces of gullies which are specified in east, west and North exposures and have been at the stagnation phase in an area of 702.6 hectares. The characteristics of the gully and the types of the bushes and trees which have grown into the gullies and their close circle are included as the subject in the research in the scope of field study. Moreover the research has shown that the characteristics of the gully and status of evolution of the gully, characteristics of sediment and types of the plants should be approached together for the types of the plants on the study of gully improvement. Especially it shows the importance of approaching to the necessities of ecological, hydrological, and engineering carefully on the gully erosion areas which have extreme ecological circumstances.
