Abstract (EN)

2. ABSTRACT BIOMECHANICAL EVALUATION OF OSSEOINTEGRATION LEVELS OF DIFFERENT SURFACED IMPLANTS PLACED WITHOUT INITIAL IMPLANTATION DENSITY Dental implants have become an important treatment alternative in the rehabilitation of tooth loss, both functionally and aesthetically. One of the most decisive factors in the success of this treatment is the osseointegration achieved between the implant and the bone. Among the factors affecting osseointegration, implant surface properties and initial placement density (primary stability) are at the forefront. There are dental implants with different surface modifications developed to improve the clinical performance of the implant. Extensive studies are being conducted on these different surfaces with the aim of increasing osseointegration. Initial placement tightness is the rigidity of the implant during placement. In the absence of initial placement tightness, the implant can move rotationally and vertically within the prepared socket. The aim of this study is to investigate the osseointegration of different surface titanium implants placed without initial tightness. The subjects were divided into 6 groups. Sixty S. Dawlen rats were used, with 10 rats in each group. These groups were divided into SLA (n=10), RBM (n=10), and lathe (n=10) with initial placement tightness, and SLA (n=10), RBM (n=10), and lathe (n=10). Under general anesthesia, implants with different surface characteristics, some with initial insertion tightness and some without, were placed in the cortical bone of the metaphysical region of the right tibia, with a diameter of 2.5 mm and a length of 4 mm. The subjects were sacrificed after 12 weeks, and osseointegration was examined using biomechanical reverse torque analysis. Based on the results of our study, it can be stated that osseointegration occurred in RBM, SLA, and turned surface implants after 12 weeks of follow-up. When there was no initial placement tightness, the RBM surface showed better osseointegration than the SLA surface. When there was initial placement tightness, the SLA surface showed better results than the RBM and turned surfaces. In both cases, whether there was initial placement tightness or not, the SLA and RBM surfaces showed better osseointegration than the turned surface.
