The biological investigations on Muscari bourgaei Baker and Muscarı aucheri (Boiss.) Baker which are distribution in West Anatolia

In this study, from Liliaceae family endemic two geophyte species (Muscari aucheri (Boiss.) Baker and Muscari bourgaei Baker) which are distribution West Anatolia were investigated by their morphological, anatomical, palynological and ecological features.The morphological features of species are given by compared with Flora of Turkey (Davis & Stuart, 1984). Providing the morphological characters to identify were determined. In anatomical investigation the section of the root, scape and leaf of species were examined. Anatomical similarities and differences between the species were determined and the conclusions were showed by photographs and pictures. The general structure of the roots, scapes and leaves, the cell were showned different in arrangament and dimension. In addiation to, anatomical transverse sections in leaves, palisade parenchyma which are different the structure are given great information for differences the species. In palynological studies, made by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Light Microscopy (LM), parts of the pollen were examined. Our investigation shows that the sculpturing of the exine provides valuable characters for separating species. Furthermore, for ecological investigations, the chemical and physical properties of the soil are given.
