Abstract (EN)

In this study, the biometric parameters were examined of the specimen which sampled from open areas ( Doğanyurt, Kurucaşile, Kefken, Çatalzeytin, Cide, İnebolu) for 1640 Chamelea gallina, fishery during the October 2005- April 2006. Average lenght of examine all individual are been determinated 19,37. The mean lenght of C.gallina was mesaured 20,44 mm in October 2005- 20,16 mm in November 2005- 18,34 mm in December 2005- 18,73 mm in January 2006- 18,22 mm in February 2006-19,35 mm in March 2006 and 20,07 mm April 2006, respectively. The maximum and minumum lenght values were determinted as 11,0 mm and 29,0 mm, respectively. The maximum lenght frequency of individuals was % 85,67 with 16-22 mm. The maximum width frequency of individuals was % 21,65 with 17 mm. The total weight of C.gallina individuals maximum value 6,757 gr and minumum valve 0,373 gr. Maximum density of total weight distribution were between % 80,24 with 1 and 2,5 gr. The investigation, between `lenght- widht?, `length-thickness?, `total weight- meat weight? relationships were linears, where as ` lenght-total weight?, `lenght-meat weight? the relationships between were exponential. Correlation analysis biological parameters of C.gallina were positive and strong ranged between 0,66-0,92. Key Words: Chamelea gallina, striped venus, biometric parameters
