Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this work is to determine the surface hardness, adhesion and thermal insulation properties of the nano-technological hollow water-based thermal insulation paint applied wooden floorings. For this purpose, an 8 mm thick coated and uncoated laminate parquet, and 12 mm and 15 mm thick oak (Quercus petraea L.) and ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.) solid-wood flooring were prepared and water-based thermal insulation paints were applied to the specimens' under-surface linings. Hardness and adhesion resistances and thermal conductivity tests applied at different thicknesses were determined according to the relevant standards. According to the results of the study, it was determined that water based thermal insulation paint applied both to laminate and to solid parquet linings used as flooring materials contributed to the thermal insulation capability in the positive direction. In addition, the hardness values of water based thermal insulation paint decreased as the number of paint application layers increased, and adhesion values were found to be high in solid wood flooring. Since the water-based thermal insulation paint is not harmful to the environment and human health, it can be recommended to use in indoor spaces.
