Abstract (EN)
In this study, 8 species, five of which are endemic, belonging to the Allium genus, one of the important genera of the Amaryllidaceae family (Allium armerioides, Allium colchicifolium, Allium dumanii, Allium muratozelii, Allium orientale, Allium stamineum, Allium subakaka, Allium tuncelianum), were investigated karyologically. Onions of different samples collected for cytotaxonomic studies were used. As a result of the studies carried out in dividing somatic cells, the chromosome counts and karyotype analyzes of the species were made and their ideograms were drawn. Chromosome numbers were determined to be 2n=16 in Allium armerioides, Allium colchicifolium, Allium muratozelii, Allium orientale, Allium stamineum, Allium subakaka, Allium tuncelianum species and 2n=16+2B in Allium dumanii.
