Abstract (EN)

Benzimidazole salts have different physiological properties and as precursor NHC (N-heterocyclic carbene) they are also used as metal complexes. NHCs have become an alternative to phosphine ligands due to their strong ?-donor and low toxicity. In recent years, Suzuki-Miyaura and Heck-Mizoroki reactions in the formation of C-C bonds are located in a very important place and research in this area is increasing exponentially. Also, microwave heating reduces of the duration of the this type catalytic reactions and provides increases in product yields. In this thesis, some of the bis-benzimidazole compounds have been prepared as a carbene-precursor and microwave assisted catalytic activities of their ?in situ? prepared palladium complexes were investigated in Suzuki-Miyaura and Heck-Mizoroki C-C cross-coupling reactions. For this purpose, some bis-benzimidazole derivatives which bearing pyrolidine, morpholine and piperidine have been prepared and used as N-heterocyclic carbene precursor and the catalytic yield of microwave-assisted Suzuki-Miyaura and Heck-Mizoroki C-C cross-coupling reactions were determinated using a GC-MS technique or an isolated yield.Structures of compounds used and examined for their catalytic properties are given below.
