Abstract (EN)

Volatile oil (essential oils); is a plant extract specific to each plant obtained from the leaves of plants, peels of fruits or roots. Volatile oils are liquid at room temperature, easily crystallize, mostly colorless or light yellow, volatile, strong-smelling, natural product. Since essential oils do not mix with water and form a layer on the surface of water, they are defined as oils. Essential oils differ from fixed oils. Volatile oils do not exhibit fatty acid triglyceride properties. However, they oxidize and become resinous over time when exposed to light and air. While volatile oils are soluble in aqueous ethanol, fixed oils are insoluble. In this thesis study, the use of essential oils obtained from different natural sources in the production of perfumes and colognes was experimentally carried out. Within the scope of the thesis study, LAVENDER, SAGE, ROSE and CHAMOMILE plants were examined. Lavender, Sage, Rosemary, Rose and Chamomile plants used in the study were grown in a special environment and used in experimental applications. No supporting chemicals were used in the cultivation of the plants used and they were grown in completely natural conditions. It was determined that the oils obtained gave better results than the existing oils on the market. Oil was obtained from the examined products with the clavenger extraction device. Pure water was used as the solvent. The oils obtained were compared with the oils on the market and it was determined that the oil amounts of the grown products were obtained in higher amounts than the existing products on the market. The oils obtained were used in the production of perfume and cologne and the odor, quality and cost rates were calculated. According to the results, it was seen that the proposed method was much more effective than the existing methods.
