EFFECT OF SOME WORKING PARAMETRES ON THE PERFORMANSOF THE CLOSED TYPE TRANSFORMER WITH ADIABATICGENERATER AND ADIABATIC ABSORBER(M.Sc. Thesis)Gözde DEM RHANGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYOctober 2006ABSTRACTIn this study, 1st and 2nd law analysis of the closed type, LiBr/H2O absorptionheat transformer with adiabatic absorber and generator, is performed. The heatsources at low temperatures may be used as higher temperature heat sourcesusing the absorption heat transformers. In the analyses of the system, thevariation of the feed fraction with the other working parameters is investigated.A computer program is developed in FORTRAN to calculate the Coefficient OfPerformance (COP), Exergetic Coefficient Of Performance (ECOP), circulationratio (f), feed fraction (n), exergy loss in the components and thenondimensional exergy loss of each component of the AHT at differentoperating conditions are calculated and compered with the results given in theliterature. The thermoeconomic analyses of the system is also performed andeconomical working conditions are determined.Science Code : 914.1.131Key Words : Absorption heat transformer, Thermodynamic analysis,Simulation, LiBr/H2OPage Number : 147Adviser : Prof. Dr. Ö.
