Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted in 2018 in order to determine the phosphorus uptake and phosphorus activity in the early development period of the common popcorn genotypes in Aydın region. The study was conducted in 3 replications according to a randomized plot trial design with eight different maize genotypes (N1517, N15820 EVERTA, N341262, SH2662, SHXP1044, N34117, 2X6) and three different phosphorus doses (0, 75 and 150 mg P kg-1). Plants were harvested after 46 day growing period. Phosphorus application dose, genotype and P dose x genotype interaction were found to be statistically significant in the parameters of plant height, shoot fresh weight, shoot dry weight, root dry weight and root phosphorus concentration. In parallel with the P doses applied to the soil, an increase in agronomic P efficiency values occurred in the plant. The agronomic P efficiency occurred in 75 and 150 mg P kg-1 applications according to the control application was 52.30% and 108.50%, respectively. The order of genotypes in terms of agronomic efficiency was determined as SHXP1044, 2X6, N341262, N15820, N1517, EVERTA, SH2662, N34117. Physiological activity values according to the P concentrations in the plant were 4.54, 5.58 and 7.00 at 0, 75 and 150 mg P kg-1 applications, respectively. According to the amount of P removed with the shoot, the physiological efficiency values decreased in the form of 6.37, 5.00 and 4.58, respectively, in the applications of 0, 75 and 150 mg P kg-1. As a result of this study, it has been revealed that more than one feature should be taken into account in the selection of P efficient variety, and this is important in terms of the sustainabinable agriculture as well as economically.
