Determination of yield and quality of some bread wheat cultivars at Bilecik-Merkez-Sogut-Bozuyuk conditions

It was carried out in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 growing seasons to determine the yield and quality characteristics of some bread wheat varieties in different locations (Bilecik Merkez-Söğüt-Bozüyük). 20 different bread wheat cultivars are used to material. The experimental was designed according to Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. Heading period, maturity period, plant height, spike length, the number of spike per square meter, the number of grain per spike, single spike yield, grain yield per decare grain yield, number of 1000 kernel weight, harvest index, Zeleny sedimentation, protein rate was investigated in our research. In addition, stable varieties were determined in grain yield according to stability parameters. Except for the hectolitre weight, significant differences were determined in terms of year averages for all characteristics. All the examined features showed significant differences in terms of location averages, between the locations, the Central location has come to the fore in terms of efficiency and quality. Considering the average of varieties; heading period 148.8 to 164.2 days, maturation period 178.4 to 194.1 days, plant height 68.0 to 95.3 cm, spike length 8.1 to 8.6 cm, the number of spike per square meter 288.2 to 346.0 per square meter, the number of grain per spike 34.3 to 54.0, single spike yield 1.3 to 1.9 g, grain yield per decare 390.5 494.7 kg, number of 1000 kernel weight 31.7 to 39.8 g, hectolitre weight 77.0 to 81.6 kg, protein content of 12.6% to 15.2, and Zeleny sedimentation value of 24.9 to 40.5 ml. When Finlay and Wilkinson (1963) and Eberhart and Russell (1966) parameters are considered together, Esperia variety is seen as a stable variety in terms of grain yield. As a result of our two-year study in Bilecik conditions, Midas and Glosa varieties are thought to meet the yield and quality requirements of the region, as they have good characteristics in terms of high yield and quality characteristics.
