Abstract (EN)

In this experiment, the chilling requirements of 10 cherry cultivars and the chilling durations of Adana and Ceyhan was determined during 2016-2020. According to the results, the chilling durations of Adana were determined to be 652 and 168 hours and 121-288 chill units. In Abdioğlu and Bilici farms in Ceyhan, the chilling durations were found to be 924-419 hours and 265-191chill units. There is 10-20 days of differences between the cherry cultivars for breaking dormancy. These dormancy breaking dates of the experimented cultivars were; February 28 for Royal Bailey and Royal Marie, February 7 for Royal Lynn and March 10 for Royal Tioga. In Abdioğlu farm in 2018, the biggest fruits (8.7g) was obtained from Royal Bailey cherry cultivar. It was followed by Royal Marie and Royal Lynn cherry cultivars with 6g and 5.6g. The highest Brix value (%) was obtained from Royal Lynn and Royal Marie cherry cultivars with %19, while it was. %16 in Royal Bailey. In the second experimental year (2019), the biggest fruits was obtained from Royal Bailey in Adana'da with 7.38g and from Royal Lynn in Abdioğlu with 7.2g. Seed weight gave similar results and followed by the other cultivars. Brix value was the highest in Royal Lynn (%15.5) in Abdioğlu and in Royal Bailey (%15.35) in Adana. The highest total acidity (%) was found in Royal Lynn cultivar with 6.06 in Abdioğlu, the highest pH (4.5) obtained from Royal Marie cultivar.
