Determination of the effect of some organomineral fertilizer applications on grain yield and agromorphological characters in dent corn

This research was carried out in 2023 in the main crop conditions of Çukurova Region in order to determine the effects of some organomineral fertilizer applications on grain yield and agromorphological characteristics in dent corn according to the randomised block experimental design in the Osmaniye/Kadirli/Yeniköy location with three replications. According to the data obtained from the research, it was determined that the difference between different nitrogen doses and different organomineral fertilizer applications created statistically significant differences in terms of plant number, plant height, first ear height, stem thickness, ear length, ear diameter, number of grains on the ear, ear weight, thousand grain weight, hectoliter weight, grain moisture content and grain yield. According to the findings obtained from the research, the responses of dent corn to organomineral fertilizers at different nitrogen doses were different. The highest grain yield of the DKC6980 variety was obtained from the plot where all nutrients were applied together. This situation reveals that organomineral (biostimulant) fertilizers increase the effectiveness of nitrogenous fertilizers. Keywords: Dent corn, organomineral fertilizer, N levels, plant characters
