Abstract (EN)
In this work, two polymeric-Schiff bases have been synthesized by thecondensation reaction of two heterocyclic aldehyds namely, 4-methoxybenzaldehyde and 4-chlorobenzaldehyde with polyacyrlamid.Polymeric-Schiff bases obtained have been characterizared by using elementalanalyses, conductivity measurements, FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and UV-VISspectral data. On the other hand; Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes of the Polymeric-Schiff bases have been prepared and chracterizied by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductivity measurements, FTIR andUV-VIS spectra. The Polimeric-Schiff bases were found to be bidantate ligandsinvolving the imino nitrogen and carboxyl oxygen atoms in the complexes. TheCo(II) complexes have been found to have tetrahedral geometry and nickel(II)complexes have been found to have square-planer geometry.Viscosity average moleculer mass(MV) of the polymeric-Schiff bases and theircomplexes were determined with Ubbelohde viscozimeter.Science Cod : F.E.F. 05/2003-09Key Word :Polimer, Schiff bases, Nickel(II) complexes,Co(II)complexesNumber of Pages : 64Supervisor : Yrd.
