Abstract (EN)

This study was designed to estimate some immunological biomarkers in Iraqi women with breast cancer and also to detect 18SRNA gene, SAG gene for Toxoplasma gondii parasite. The study was conducted in Aldiwaniyah, Iraq. In order to evaluate the prognosis of breast cancer disease and the importance of toxoplasmosis, sampling was performed in the tissue mass extracted from the breast of women who applied to the hospital and private clinic. A total of 200 women participated in the study. All cases underwent surgical interventions to remove the mass and neibor lymph nodes. As a result of these procedures, breast mass tissue, lymph nodes and serum samples were collected. The mass and lymph nodes were placed in a container containing formalin. Serum samples were collected from patients with breast masses and healthy controls. The gel was then placed in a tube and the serum was isolated for serological detection of Toxoplasma gondii specific IgG, IgM and measurement of IL-23, IL-12 titer using ELISA technique with an automated ELISA (Chorus TRIO) device
