Abstract (EN)

In this study, some sulfonamide derivative compounds, which are a potential candidate for the treatment of glaucoma, in vitro effects were investigated on carbonic anhydrase enzyme. The carbonic anhydrase enzyme was purified from the bovine blood by using the affinity gel with the chemical structure of Sepharose-4B-L-Tyrosine-Sulfonamide. Blood samples were taken from the animal slaughtering points in Siirt province at the time of slaughter. Spectrophotometric experimental studies were carried out by determining the absorbance values at 348 nm at the 0 and 3rd minutes. The affinities of sulfonamide derivative compounds against bovine carbonic anhydrase enzyme have been investigated experimentally. The IC50 values, which are the constant of inhibition, were determined by using the datas obtained from experimental studies. The other inhibition constant, Ki, was calculated mathematically with the help of the Cheng&Prusoff equation.
