Abstract (EN)
This study based on the fruit flies species which collected from various provinces of Turkey between 1999 and 2013. In study, spermathecae structures of 11 species [Terellia colon (Meigen, 1826), T. fuscicornis (Loew,1844), T. gynaecochroma (Herring,1937), T. longicauda (Meigen,1838), T. luteola (Wiedemann, 1830), T. nigripalpis Hendel,1927, T. quadratula (Loew,1869), T. rhapontici Merz,1991, T. ruficauda (Fabricius, 1794), T. serratulae (Linneaus, 1758), T. virens (Loew,1846)] belonging to genus Terellia Rob-des (Diptera: Tephritidae) were examined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). For each species, spermathecae structures were explained, morphological differences and similarities between species were identified. According to the results obtained were compared studied species spermatheca. As a result, similar to each other general spermathecal bulb structures were found in T. fuscicornis, T. longicauda, T.luteola, T. nigripalpis, T. serratulae and T. ruficauda. T. gynaecochroma and T. rhapontici spermathecal structure of bulb is determined to have similar to each other structures. T. virens, T. quadratula and T. colon general spermathecae morphology was found to be different from each other. As a result the similarities and differences of the present study obtained SEM images were found to match with the systematic study which was previously performed. Also the photos of spermatheca taken with by SEM were given. Key words: Fruit flies, Tephritidae, Terellia, Spermathecae, SEM
