The karyological studies of some Dianthus L. (Caryopyllaceae) taxa

Abstract (EN)
Karyotypic characters, mitotic metaphase chromosomes, monoploid ideograms and karyograms of Dianthus tabrisianus Bien. ex Boiss., Dianthus sessiliflorus Boiss., Dianthus stramineus Boiss. & Heldr. and Dianthus erythrocoleus Boiss. were investigated for the first time. Analysis of somatic metaphases showed that the chromosome numbers and the karyotype formula of these taxa were 2n = 30 = 22m + 6sm + 2st for Dianthus tabrisianus, 2n = 30 = 14m + 8sm + 8st for Dianthus sessiliflorus, 2n = 30 = 20m + 4sm + 6st for Dianthus stramineus and 2n = 30 = 18m + 8sm + 4st Dianthus erythrocoleus. No satellites were observed in the karyotypes of these species. The intrachromosomal and interchromosomal karyotype asymmetries were estimated with Coefficient of Variation of Chromosome Length (CVCL) and Mean Centromeric Asymmetry (MCA).
