Abstract (EN)
In this study, the chilling and heat requirements of Gardeta, Mikado, Flopria, Perfect Red, Gartairo, Patagonia, Plagold and Garofa cv peach, nectarine and apricot grown at the experimental orchards of the Horticultural Department of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Çukurova were determined. Also, total Growing Degree Hours (GDH), and phenological observations were done. Patagonia peach, nectarine, apricot cultivars broke dormancy on 12th January 2021 and their chilling requirements were determined to be 148 hours 7.2°C and 11 chill units. The chilling requirements of Plagold and Gardeta cultivars broke dormancy on 27th January 2021 and their chilling requirements were found to be 148 hours below7.2°C and 11 chill units. The chilling requirements of Garofa and Gartairo cultivars broke dormancy on 12th February 2021 and their chilling requirements were found to be 216 hours below7.2°C and 39 chill units. Flopria cultivar broke dormancy on 27th February 2021 and their chilling requirements were determined to be 322 hours 7.2°C and 81 chill units. The chilling requirements of Mikado and Perfect Red cultivars broke dormancy on 12th February 2021 and their chilling requirements were found to be 224 hours below7.2°C and 81 chill units. The chilling duration on Adana area was found to be 516 hours below 7.2°C and 135 chill units.
