Abstract (EN)
The history of concrete technology goes back to 1850, when the first equipment in concrete was used. In the following years, there have been major developments in the long-term behavior of concrete, casting techniques, equipment, continuity of quality, quality control experiments, increasing the economy in concrete, the construction of concrete structures under more difficult conditions, new materials, additives, work programming, management and economy. As a result of these developments as a result of the studies carried out, fibers with different mechanical and physical properties are used in the concrete to increase the ductility of the concrete. The use of randomly dispersed fibers in concrete is one of the most effective methods used to improve tensile strength, energy absorption capacity and crack development characteristics. In this thesis, compressive and bending strengths of samples obtained by substituting basalt fibers to cement mortars were investigated. Basalt fibers were used in the cement mortars in the ratio of 0.3% - 0.4% - 0.5%. As a result of this study, it has been observed that basalt fiber has a positive effect on compressive and bending strength of cement mortars.
