Abstract (EN)
Statistical information obtained in the health sector, and these have been derived from objective indicators, the identification of the health level of the community, determining priorities, planning of health services, set out to see whether they are successful service delivery analysis and comparison to be made. In this direction, usually on fertility, mortality and illness data are used. These include birth and born dead or likely to die, referred to as infant mortality, communities are among the most important criteria used in determining the level of health. In this context, infant mortality rates, the general health level of the society as well as in the comparable rate of social welfare and development indicators are among the first to look. The aims of this retrospective study are to investigate reasons acting on infant death and stillbirth, to reveal these reasons and to determine what precautions should be taken against to infant death and stillbirth This study has been carried out by using data of infant death and stillbirth in 2014 (whole year) and 2015 (first half) in Istanbul, Beyoglu. In this study, between mentioned dates, 33 infant death which were occurred in between 0 and 11 moths and 37 stillbirth cases have been analyzed. As a result, delivery method (p=0,000) and abort history (p=0,003) have more affect on infant death and stillbirth than the other factors.
