Investigation of the physical education and sports teachers and prospective teachers curriculum literacy and physical education efficacy levels

Abstract (EN)

İn this study, the curriculum literacy levels and physical education teaching efficacy levels of the physical education and sports teachers and prospective teachers were examined. In the research, ,106 (%45,3) prospective teachers studying at Uludağ University Physical Education and Sports Department and 128(%54,7) physical education and sports teachers working in Bursa, applied the curriculum literacy and physical education teaching efficacy scale. "SPSS20.0" statistical package program was used in the analysis of the data. Independent Sample T Test and One Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA) for categorical data; In the correlation analysis between the scores obtained from the scales, the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis method was used. The findings of the study shows that, physical education and sports teachers' and prospective teachers' curriculum literacy levels are 'quite good', physical education teaching efficacy levels of physical education and sports teachers' and prospective teachers' are statistically 'good'. While there was no statistically significant difference in physical education and sports teachers and prospective teachers in terms of curriculum literacy levels, it was concluded that physical education and sports teachers' physical education teaching efficacy level was statistically and significantly different from prospective teachers.Curriculum literacy levels of physical education and sports prospective teachers differ according to the academic success variable. Both curiculum literacy and physical education teaching efficacy levels of teachers differ significantly according to the graduated department variable. While there was a negative and significant relationship between physical education and sports teachers 'physical education teaching efficacy and professional seniority variable, it was concluded that there was a positive relationship between prospective teachers' education program literacy levels and academic achievement level variable. As a result, it can be said that physical education and sports teachers and prospective teachers think that they have knowledge of the programs that guide the teaching practices and find their physical education teaching efficacy levels "sufficient".
