Abstract (EN)

In this research the genotoxic effects of Bentazone and Chloridazone herbicides on Eisenia hortensis species was investigated. The species of E. hortensis were collected from the natural habitats in Afyonkarahisar. During the toxicity studies, the LD50 value of Bentazone herbicides was noted 236 ppm, while the LD50 value of Chloridazon was 76.6 ppm. To determine the DNA damage on E. hortensis coelomocytes, comet and micronucleus test methods were used LD50/2, LD50 and 2XLD50 concentrations of Bentazone and Chloridazon herbicides were applied to E. hortensis for 48 hours. As a result, it was determined that the concentrations of chloridazone and bentazone herbicides applied within E.hortensis coelomocytes studies, caused statistically significant increases in micronucleus and komet parameters and increased DNA damage.
