Abstract (EN)

Today, the efforts of the organizations to shape the feelings of the employees have caused the concept of emotional labor to gain importance in the field of organizational culture. Emotional labor behavior is that those who work in the working life exhibit the emotions expected from them. On the other hand, it requires organizations to have a strong organizational culture in order to keep pace with rapidly changing environmental conditions and to increase their loyalty to the enterprise. Therefore, this research has investigated the relationship between the organizational culture and the emotional labor behaviors of the employees in the hotel industry. The study was carried out with 121 employees working in front office department in 5 star hotels in Adana. The data of 121 employees working in front office departments were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 program. T-test and one-way ANOVA test were used for demographic variables, frequency and percentage distribution, and scale scores were measured according to demographic characteristics. According to the results of regression analysis between organizational culture and emotional labor, only the dimension of participation in organizational culture influenced deep behavior. It was concluded that the consistency, adaptation and mission dimension were not related to deep behavior. No significant differences were found between organizational culture and emotional labor scores according to task, age, marital status, sex, working time, educational status and working hours.
