Abstract (EN)
One of the external effects that concrete come across in its economical life is the impact effect. In recent years it is observed that experimental efforts on concrete specimens which are made by using drop weight apparatus are increased. This study present test results on normal strength and high strength concrete beam specimens? different behaviors under impact loading. In prepared experimental program, ten rectangle concrete beam specimens are tested under impact loading by using a fixed weight hammer that dropped different heights. Five of the ten beam specimens are prepared by using normal strength concrete and the others are prepared by using high strength concrete. By using two accelerators and one force sensor, the effects developed on specimens are measured. The change in strength ratios effected number of drops, deformations, accelerations and failure mechanism. At the end of the experimental studies it is intended to model of crack propagation and failure shapes of specimens by using ABAQUS computer program.
