Abstract (EN)

Structure-soil-pile interaction is defined as consideration of soil, structure and interaction of each other under the earthquake excitation. Significant plastic deformation is occurred due to the earthquake waves which are defined on the Temel rock and move on in the soil environment. In this case, these plastic deformations of pile can be effect on the amplitude and the frequency of the foundation. This structure-soil-pile system, in which the inertia of structure is not taken into account, is called as kinematic interaction. Furthermore, piles are effecting due to transferred vibration from the structure to the pile and soil. This thesis aims to explore structure-soil-pile interaction by using pile–1D soil nonlinear static analysis method according to Turkish Seismic Code-2018 (TBDY-2018), Annex 16-C. In this method, the soil characteristics are described by three types of nonlinear resistance-displacement curves. Relationship between the lateral soil pressure and pile displacement are described by P-y curves, T-z curves describe skin friction between the pile and the soil, Q-z curves describe the bearing stress at the pile. In this context, pile supported sample structure with different soil condition will be evaluated by using non-linear finite element analysis considering structure-soil-pile interaction and piles will be designed according to TBDY-2018.
