Abstract (EN)
There are many cases in which concrete structural elements are exposed to dynamic impact loads, and in order to reinforce these elements carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites have been used in recent years. The objective of this thesis is to make experimental investigation of reinforced concrete beam elements strengthened with CFRP having different layout shapes under impact effect using drop-weight test with two different heights. For that purpose, 14 concrete beam samples were produced with the dimensions of 1.000x100x200 mm. The reinforced concrete beam elements were divided into two groups for the 1 and 1,5 m drop-weight test variable, and one of the beam elements from each group was un-strengthened. The remaining six specimens in each group were reinforced with CFRP using different layout shapes. The specimens were tested under the impact effect of the same hammer from two different heights, and the impact load was applied to the beams until collapse. The responses of the specimens under the impact effect were measured with the help of the right and left accelerometers, force and displacement sensors, and then transferred to the data and recorded. Using these experimental results, acceleration-time, force-time, displacement-time and force-displacement graphs were created. The experimental results have been examined and interpreted.
