Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this thesis, studies are carried out on the development of engineering software for the reinforcement of RC load-bearing elements with fiber-reinforced polymer composite materials. The thesis consists of three main sections. The first section includes the concept and methodology of repair/strengthening, information about fiber-reinforced polymer composite materials, and a literature review. In the second part, the equations of the calculation methods related to the subject and the studies carried out within the scope of this thesis are given. The first part of this section includes calculations on increasing axial compression strength and ductility capacity of columns and mathematical computations for strengthening the shear strength of beams according to Turkısh Earthquake Code 2018. In addition, computations for strengthening of bending moment of beams are presented according to American Concrete Institute 440-2R.17. Then, the algorithms of the software are created by considering these calculation steps. Depending on these algorithms, both computer-based and web-based software interfaces have been developed. In the third part, the results and suggestions obtained from this thesis study are given.
